What companies make up OMI Group?

It is structured into two holding companies, OMEL and OMIP - OPERADOR DO MERCADO IBÉRICO (PORTUGAL). Each of these companies holds fifty percent (50%) of the two managing companies for the Iberian Peninsula's electricity market: OMIE manages the day-ahead and intraday market, and OMI-Polo Portugués (OMIP sgmr) manages the forward market.

To be leaders and models in managing organized energy markets, facilitating the development of the best buying and selling strategies for these products to our clients, serving as a platform for the implementation of other services that respond to the needs of the sector at all times.

What limitations are shareholders of OMI Group holdings subject to?

One company may not have more than 5% of the shares for OMEL or OMIP - OPERADOR DO MERCADO IBÉRICO (except the System Transport Agents, who may hold up to 10% of shares). Shares of companies related to the electrical sector may not exceed 40% in all.

How was OMI Group started on the Iberian Energy Market (MIBEL)?

On October 1, 2004, the MIBEL was formed under the International Treaty of Santiago, an Iberian electricity market between the Kingdom of Spain and the Portuguese Republic. On January 18, 2008, an Agreement was signed in Braga that revised the Agreement of Santiago and the one reached between the Portuguese State and the Spanish State on March 8, 2007, as specifically concerning the legal framework of OMI.

What are OMIE's activities?

OMIE manages the markets (day-ahead and intraday) for the entire Iberian Peninsula in an integrated manner, and its model of operation is the same as many other European markets.

What are OMIP's activities?

OMIP manages the markets for electrical energy derivatives, and it offers continuous commercial services for different derivative products, the registry of bilateral agreements, and data distribution services.

What are OMIClear's activities?

OMIClear's main activity is being the Clearing House and Central Counterparty (CCP), providing services that include compensation and settlement of contracts derived from electricity, both at auctions and on OMIP's continuous market, as well as bilateral agreements registered at OMIClear.

What are OMEL Diversificación's activities?

OMEL Diversificación is the entity responsible for organizing auctions for energy products.
