• GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The OneNet project aims to provide an integration of all the players in the electricity grid at the European level in order to create an integrated operation that optimizes global energy management while creating a transparent, accessible and fair market structure for the consumer.
This ambitious vision is achieved by proposing new markets, products and services, also creating an IT architecture that allows to achieve the objectives set in the project.
The consortium is made up of more than 70 partners that include network and market operators, IT participants, research institutions... who, through 4 demonstrators divided by zones, will provide the necessary experience to develop these challenging tasks.
• THE ROLE OF OMIE
OMIE participates in one of the 4 European demonstrators that together with other partners from Spain, France and Portugal make up the demo cluster for the western zone. OMIE's mission is to contribute its knowledge of energy markets to collaborate in the design and development of new flexibility markets and their integration with existing markets.
In addition, OMIE will make available to the rest of the participants the platform on which the different flexibility markets and local products will be negotiated. Therefore, it will act as a central party in the exchange of information between the DSOs, aggregators and the different active consumers and clients.
