• GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The European project Redream was born under the motto “consumer empowerment”, one of the strategic pillars of energy policy in the EU. In this way, through 4 pilot projects spread over different locations (Spain, Italy, United Kingdom and Croatia), it is intended to put into practice the active participation of consumers in the electricity market thanks to the development of a technology that allows an open and co-creative ecosystem through the implementation of metering devices in the different energy communities.
• THE ROLE OF OMIE
OMIE, operator of the Iberian electricity market, participates in Redream as an expert in electricity markets, offers all its experience for the development of new comprehensive solutions for flexibility in terms of market participation.
In this way, it will be a key link between the proposals of the solutions offered by the STEMY platform for integration with current and future electricity markets and thus, guarantee the compatibility of the new systems.
To do this, it will participate in the definition of the new information flows that need to be raised for the connectivity of the Redream ecosystem in the existing global markets, as well as the local flexibility markets under development and facilitate market simulation demonstration environments for prototyping.
